Telerivet makes it easy for organizations to send and receive voice calls with their customers, employees, or community.
Telerivet provides user-friendly web-based tools to send voice broadcasts, automatically handle incoming calls, and make person-to-person calls, without needing to write code, run your own servers, or purchase any hardware.
Telerivet's voice features can be used for a wide variety of use cases, including customer support, political organizing, data collection, alerting, market research, audience engagement, and more. Features include:
However, Telerivet's voice features also support sending and receiving calls with a live person.
To connect incoming calls to a live person, Telerivet supports forwarding incoming calls to an external phone number -- for example, your mobile phone or your business phone system.
To place outgoing calls from a live person, you can use Telerivet's Person-to-person call feature. This feature will call your own phone number then connect it to the recipient, who will see your organization's caller ID instead of your personal phone number. Person-to-person calls allow your team to use their own mobile devices to make calls on behalf of your organization, without exposing their personal phone number to the recipient.
Note that Telerivet isn't intended to be used as an everyday business telephone system or PBX. You will need your own phones in order to send or receive calls with a live person.
Telerivet is a layer on top of these voice API platforms -- we've done the work of integrating with their APIs so your organization doesn't have to do it yourself. Telerivet provides a web interface for sending voice calls and broadcasts, a point-and-click web interface for setting up common voice services such as voicemail, call forwarding, and voice polling, as well as a drag and drop interface for building custom call flows. This allows your organization to use voice without running your own servers or hiring programmers.
For advanced use cases, Telerivet also provides the Cloud Script API which allows organizations to program custom call flows in JavaScript. Using the Cloud Script API would require a developer with JavaScript experience, but does not require running your own servers.

Comparison to Voice API Platforms
Services such as Nexmo and Twilio provide powerful voice APIs (application programming interfaces) for developers to build voice applications. However, these services require organizations to run their own servers and hire software developers to build a custom solution for their use case. For many organizations, the work and expense involved in building and maintaining a custom solution is prohibitive.Telerivet is a layer on top of these voice API platforms -- we've done the work of integrating with their APIs so your organization doesn't have to do it yourself.
